Public art installs are moving forward. Three works are out for the season. Nouveau Crane in Port St Lucie, (Fernando In Ocala images below) and Dragonfly, Flora is set to go to Tamarac Fl for the Inspiration way exhibit at the end of next month .
Teaching is in full swing for the semester and very busy with more students, more kiln firings and the new position for the department in conjunction with the teaching .
Clay will always be my first love and I enjoy getting drawn back into the process and creating with it developing projects and assisiting students . Students will be making some wall hung work for the upcoming student exhibition and a spring open studio ,
I am making large platters with them and we are exploring printing methods, glazes and altering wheel thrown forms.
Looking forward to more studio time, new sculpture and working on drawings for the next larger piece to be a seahorse inspired work.
Simple paper armature sketches that can be used for clay or crete chae clay are happening in spare moments here and there . I will be posting rolled paper coils armature and process to group in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned as always things are in flux, moving in multiple directions and developments .
